The New Orleans Pelicans signed Chase Hunter and Josh Oduro to camp contract. Hunter and Oduro both signed non-guaranteed Exhibit 10 contract. Both players are expected to join the Birmingham Squadron for the upcoming G League season.
Hunter went undrafted out of Clemson at the 2025 NBA Draft. The 6-foot-4 guard averaged 16.5 points, 3.0 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 1.4 steals as a sixth-year player for the Tigers.
Oduro played in 44 games for the Squadron last season. The 6-foot-9 big man averaged 11.4 points, 8.2 rebounds, 2.8 assists, 1.0 steals and 1.1 blocks per game.
The Pelicans waived guard DJ Carton and wing Trhae Mitchell to create the roster pace to sign Hunter and Oduro. Both Carton and Mitchell were on Exhibit 10 contracts and are expected to join Birmingham for the G League season.
