The Indiana Fever clinched one of two final playoff spots after beating the Washington Mystics 94-65 on Sunday.

“We never doubted ourselves. We never doubted that we could be in the playoffs, even if things looked like it got harder,” said Aliyah Boston, who finished with 12 points and 11 rebounds. “I think through everything, you’re able to see us play with joy and stay together, regardless of who’s on the floor.”

The Fever have now clinched playoff spots in consecutive seasons after going seven years without making it to the postseason.

Caitlin Clark was ruled out for the season last week with a groin injury. Clark appeared in 13 games this season.

The Fever have had to bring in four hardship players into the roster due to injuries in recent weeks.

The team will finish no worse than the No. 7 seed with one game left in the season. They would get the No. 6 seed should the Valkyries lose out the year.
