Dwane Casey is a “leading candidate” for the role of president of basketball operations for the Toronto Raptors, sources told Omari Sankofa II of the Detroit Free Press.
Casey, who coached the Raptors from 2011-18, has already had multiple rounds of interviews with Maple Leaf Sports & Entertainment.
Casey has been part of the Pistons front office since the end of the 2022-23 season.
It was reported over the weekend that Bobby Webster has emerged as the frontrunner for the position.
Chad Buchanan and Marc Eversley are also considered as candidates for the role.
Kevin Pritchard is reportedly the team’s preferred choice, though there are additional complications regarding lateral moves.
