Rodrigo Bentancur has committed his future to Tottenham by agreeing a new long-term contract with the club.
The Uruguay midfielder has become a key figure since arriving from Juventus in 2022, making 122 appearances in all competitions.
Last season, he played a crucial role as Spurs lifted their first trophy in 17 years, starting in the Europa League final triumph over Manchester United.
While Tottenham did not reveal the duration of the contract, they described it as a “long-term” agreement.
“I feel really good and I’m very happy to continue my story with this fantastic club,” Bentancur said.
“We have a new head coach, a new captain and I want to enjoy many more years at the club.”
Bentancur originally signed during Antonio Conte’s tenure, though the Italian coach departed just over a year later.
Ange Postecoglou succeeded him in 2023, before Brentford boss Thomas Frank took charge earlier this year.
Frank welcomed the news of the midfielder’s extension, saying: “I’m extremely happy that Rodrigo has committed his future to the club. It shows his belief in what we are building here and that we are starting a journey which we hope will be really special.”
