The Oklahoma City Thunder have picked up the 2026-27 rookie scale team options for guard Nikola Topic and Cason Wallace. This is the third-year option for Topic and the fourth-year option for Wallace.
Topic will now be under contract for next season for $5.4 million. Topic missed his rookie season while recovering from a torn ACL. He’s currently recovering a testicular surgery and is expected to make his NBA debut later this regular season.
Wallace will now be under contract for next season for $7.4 million. Wallace has become a key rotation player for Oklahoma City. He’s equally comfortable starting or coming off the Thunder bench. Wallace will be eligible to sign a rookie scale extension next summer.
