Al-Nassr secured a 4-0 win over Goa in the AFC Champions League 2 despite resting many of their big-name stars including Cristiano Ronaldo.
With qualification from Group D already seeming a formality, manager Jorge Jesus opted to rest many of his key stars, with Ronaldo – who has made recent headlines after his latest interview with Piers Morgan – not even in the squad and Sadio Mane and Joao Felix named on the bench.
Instead, it was Abdulrahman Ghareeb who stepped up to become the hero, breaking the deadlock in the first half with a stunning free-kick which flew in off the crossbar before grabbing his second of the game after the break.
After latching on to a through ball from Ali Alhassan, the Saudi Arabia international coolly slotted home to put the hosts in command.
Mohammed Maran then got in on the act for Al-Nassr, taking advantage of some slack defending to easily slot in his side’s third.
Felix and Mane were introduced into the action in the later stages and the ex-Premier League stars quickly combined for a wonderful goal, with the latter teeing up the cross for the former to find the net with a bicycle kick.
Al-Nassr remain top of Group D having won all four of the group-stage games so far.
