    France starting line-up vs Iceland

Michael Olise and Kylian Mbappe were on target for Didier Deschamps’ side against Ukraine but the victory was marred as PSG pair Ousmane Dembele and Desire Doue suffered injuries.

Ballon d’Or favourite Dembele faces six weeks out with a hamstring injury, while Doue is set to miss around four weeks because of a calf strain.

Those injuries prompted an angry response from PSG, who released a statement calling for a “new, more transparent and collaborative medical co-ordination protocol between clubs and the national team to make players’ health and medical support a top priority”.

Marcus Thuram and Theo Hernandez are new in the starting line-up, replacing Doue and Lucas Digne.

France starting XI: Mike Magnan, Jules Kounde, Ibrahima Konate, Dayot Upamecano, Marcus Thuram, Aurelien Tchoumeni, Manu Kone, Kylian Mbappe, Michael Olise, Bradley Barcola, Theo Hernandez

France substitutes: Lucas Digne, Brice Samba, Adrien Rabiot, Kingsley Coman, Lucas Hernandez, Benjamin Pavard, Khephren Thuram, Lucas Chevalier, Hugo Ekitike, Malo Gusto

    Iceland starting line-up vs France

Fiorentina forward Albert Gudmundsson has not travelled with Iceland after suffering a minor ankle sprain against Azerbaijan.

“Everyone is ready and healthy,” manager Arnar Gunnlaugsson said of the rest of his squad, via Visor. “The physiotherapists have been working incredibly hard on this trip.

“We felt we were well-equipped to deal with these absences. We won’t directly change the playing system or anything like that.

“But with different players, a different profile often comes into the position that Albert was in. Hopefully, we can take advantage of that.

“Albert wasn’t keen on going into the box and heading the ball, but he was great outside the box. Maybe we’ll get a player in who is the exact opposite of that but still has to do the same defensive duties that Albert had.

“The advantage of our group is that it’s very versatile and we can fill several positions.”

Iceland starting XI: Elias Rafn Olafsson, Victor Palsson, Sverrir Ingason, Daniel Gretarsson, Jon Thorsteinsson, Mikael Anderson, Isak Johannesson, Mikael Ellertsson, Hakon Haraldsson, Andri Gudjohnsen, Daniel Gudjohnsen

Iceland substitutes: Hakon Valdimarsson, Anton Ari Einarsson, Logi Tomasson, Hjortur Hermannsson, Saevar Magnusson, Brynjolfur Willumson, Thorir Helgason, Willum Willumson, Stefan Thordarson, Gisli Thordarson, Bjarki Steinn Bjarkason, Kristian Hlynsson
