The Sacramento Kings continue to “covet” Russell Westbrook, sources told Jake Fischer of The People’s Insider.

In order to make room in the backcourt for Westbrook’s signing, people around the league see Devin Carter as a likely trade candidate.

Malik Monk was a frequent target of trade rumors earlier this offseason, though the Kings are no longer discussing deals involving the shooting guard.

The Kings signed Dennis Schroder to be their starting point guard earlier this offseason.

Carter averaged 3.8 points and 2.1 rebounds last season for the Kings.
