It’s not clear whether the 12-time All-Star will play for Toronto.

Chris Paul has been traded from the Los Angeles Clippers to the Toronto Raptors in a three-team deal also involving the Brooklyn Nets.

According to ESPN’s Shams Chanariathe Nets will receive a 2032 Raptors second-round draft pick, guard Ochai Agbaji and cash as part of the trade.

Paul is not yet required to report to the Raptors’ facility, and the 12-time NBA All-Star could be traded again before Thursday’s deadline.

Paul and the Clippers agreed to end his second spell with the team in December. He had reportedly not been on speaking terms with head coch Ty Lue for several weeks.

The 40-year-old has appeared in only 16 games for Los Angeles this season, with Paul averaging 2.9 points and 3.3 assists per game.

The trade allows Toronto to move out of luxury tax while clearing $7million in salary for the Clippers. In Agbaji, the Nets get a player who shot career-highs from the field (49.8%) and from three-point range (39.9%) last season. Playing only 15 minutes a game this season, Agbaji is averaging 4.3 points and 2.3 total rebounds. The receipt of cash allows Brooklyn to cover his salary.

Paul plans to retire at the end of the season. It remains to be seen where he will bring down the curtain on his storied career.
