The Dallas Mavericks have picked up the 2026-27 rookie scale team option for Dereck Lively II. This is Lively’s fourth-year rookie scale option. Lively will be on the Mavericks cap sheet for $7.2 million for next season. Lively suffered through an injury-plagued sophomore season. The 7-foot-1 center appeared in only 36 games due to foot and leg injuries. Lively averaged 8.7 points, 7.5 rebounds, 2.4 assists and 1.6 blocks in 23.1 minutes per game for Dallas in his second NBA season.
