Prague – The capping of subsidies and the gradual reduction of support for agricultural enterprises, as outlined in the first version of the future European agricultural policy, may deter some farmers from environmental protection and compliance with environmental measures. One reason I want to highlight here is the failure of many economists to recognise the importance of systems thinking—and act accordingly. So, what do I mean by systems thinking?
