The Dallas Mavericks will meet with presumptive first overall pick Cooper Flagg ahead of the 2025 NBA Draft. The meeting is more of a formality than anything, but Mavs coach Jason Kidd put it best when meeting with Marc Stein of DLLS recently. “It’s just about: The sooner the better that we can get to know him and he gets to know us,” Kidd said. The first round of the 2025 NBA Draft is scheduled for Wednesday, June 25. Dallas won the NBA Draft Lottery on May 12, and with it the right to select Flagg with first overall pick.
