The British direct action activist group Palestine Action is now banned in the United Kingdom after a High Court judge refused to grant an application for interim relief, following the passing of a vote in Parliament that proscribed the group as a terrorist organization. That means that expressing support for the group has itself become a criminal offense, theoretically punishable by up to 14 years in prison. Next week, the EU Commission will present its proposal for the EU’s next long-term budget, and it will include suggestions for raising new own resources.
