The Washington Wizards signed Jamir Watkins to a two-way contract on Sunday. Watkins was selected by the Jazz with the No. 43 pick in the draft before getting traded to the Wizards. Watkins averaged 18.4 points and 5.7 rebounds last season at Florida State. Watkins and Jaylen Martin now occupy two out of the three two-way slots for the Wizards.

After June 29 shootings in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, killed two firefighters and injured another, social media users rushed to fill in the blanks of suspected shooter Wess Roley’s background. Note: This is an update to a post from several years ago.Unfortunately, this data only goes back to 1992 and includes only three recessions (the stock / tech bust in 2001, and the housing bust/financial crisis, and the 2020 pandemic).
