The Sacramento Kings injury-plagued start to the season got even worse. Forward Nique Clifford will miss at least one week due to a hamstring strain. Clifford was injured in the Kings season-opening loss at the Phoenix Suns on Wednesday.

Sacramento had started Clifford in place of Keegan Murray, who is out due to a torn UCL in his left thumb. In addition, the Kings are without Domantas Sabonis (hamstring strain) and Isaac Jones (illness).

On the positive front, Sabonis seems to be ahead of schedule in his recovery. The Kings upgraded their starting center to questionable for Friday’s home opener against the Utah Jazz.
