Napheesa Collier scored a record 36 points to lead her team to a 151-131 victory over Team Clark in the 2025 WNBA All-Star Game. Players wore “Pay Us What You Owe Us” warmup shirts ahead of ongoing collective bargaining negotiations.

Collier’s performance broke Arike Ogunbowale’s previous All-Star record of 34 points set in 2024. Team Collier’s 151 points also surpassed the previous game record of 143 points from 2023.

The offensive explosion featured minimal defense and extensive use of the new 4-point shot from 28 feet. Both teams combined to make 20 of 65 attempts from the extended range.

The game capped a weekend where collective bargaining negotiations dominated headlines. Players used their platform to send a message about contract disputes during warmups.

“The players are taking this seriously, I think it sends a really strong message that we’re standing really firm in certain areas that we feel really strong that we need to improve on,” said Collier, who won game MVP honors.

Fans supported the players’ cause, chanting “Pay them more” as Collier received her trophy. All-Star Brittney Sykes held up a sign reading “Pay the Players.”

The exhibition included several rule modifications beyond the 4-point shot. Officials implemented a 20-second shot clock instead of the standard 24 seconds and allowed live-ball substitutions.

Free throws were eliminated until the final two minutes, with players automatically awarded points instead. Skylar Diggins shot the only free throws with 1:01 remaining, making both attempts.

Diggins also recorded the first triple-double in All-Star Game history. The combined 282 points surpassed the previous record total of 270 from 2023.

Captain Caitlin Clark missed the game due to a groin injury but served as weekend ambassador. Kelsey Mitchell and Jackie Young replaced Clark and Satou Sabally as starters, though Young was later replaced by Gabby Williams due to a hip injury.
