Jalen Williams and the Oklahoma City Thunder have agreed to a five-year maximum rookie contract extension worth as much as $287 million. The deal contains no player or team options for either side. Williams could reach 30 percent of the cap if he makes an All-NBA team during the 2025-26 season.

The Thunder now have Williams, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and Chet Holmgren under contract long-term for contracts collective worth up to $822 million. Williams is represented by Bill Duffy, who also is the agent of Holmgren.

Williams suffered a complete tear of the scapholunate ligament in his right wrist on April 9 and played through the injury Oklahoma City’s title run.

Last season, Williams averaged 21.6 points, 5.3 rebounds and 5.1 assists on 48.4% shooting from the field.

The Thunder currently project to have a payroll of $246 million in 2026-27, but they have $77 million in non-guaranteed contracts that could allow them to retain flexibility.
