Liverpool players returned for pre-season training this morning, just three days after the funeral of team-mate Diogo Jota.
Jota was laid to rest, alongside his brother Andre Silva, in the Portuguese town of Gondomar on Saturday.
The pair were killed when the Lamborghini they were travelling in came off the road in the province of Zamora in north-west Spain in the early hours of Thursday morning.
Jota, 28, married long-term partner Rute Cardoso two weeks ago and had three children. Silva was 25.

The majority of the Liverpool squad and staff attended the funeral – including boss Arne Slot – but they were back on Merseyside this morning.
Fearful Salah back at Liverpool
Among the players seen arriving at the AXA Training Centre was Egypt striker Mohamed Salah, who admitted last week he was fearing going back with the tragic accident having a profound impact on everyone at the club.
He wrote on X: “Until yesterday, I never thought there would be something that would frighten me of going back to Liverpool after the break. Team mates come and go but not like this.
“It’s going to be extremely difficult to accept that Diogo won’t be there when we go back.”
Liverpool face hectic pre-season schedule
Liverpool are due to open their pre-season programme at Preston on Sunday, although that game may yet be called off.
They then travel to Asia for games against AC Milan and Yokohama FM before a double-header against Athletic Bilbao at Anfield on Monday, August 4.
Slot’s men face Crystal Palace at Wembley on August 10 in the Community Shield and start the defence of their Premier League title at home to Bournemouth on the opening Friday of the season.
