We are thrilled to announce that Ashi (Ashrafsadat) Sakhaeifar has been awarded the 2024 Volunteerism in the Arts Award! This recognition celebrates Ashi’s remarkable dedication and impactful volunteer work in the arts community at Gordon Neighbourhood House.

For the past two years, Ashi has been an outstanding volunteer, fostering a welcoming and creative environment for adults through her “Artistic Expression with Ashi” workshops. These workshops offered a unique blend of art, gentle movement, and interactive activities, encouraging participants to explore their creativity in a fun and supportive setting. Her ability to create an atmosphere of joy and engagement has left a lasting impression on all who attended.

Beyond her workshops, Ashi played a crucial role in the Family Place program, where she led arts and crafts activities for young children. She was also instrumental in organizing special family events such as Family Breakfasts, Art Workshops, Family Dinners, and Community Lunch Programs. In each of these roles, Ashi brought her creativity, positive energy, and artistic flair, making every event meaningful and enjoyable for participants.

Ashi’s passion for art and community building has made a profound impact on the individuals and families she has worked with. Her dedication to bringing people together through creative expression is truly inspiring, and we are incredibly proud to see her recognized with this well-deserved award.

Congratulations, Ashi, and thank you for your continued contributions to the arts and the community!
